Raycom Electronics, Inc, a subsidiary of Electro Technik Industries (ETI), was incorporated in 1965 to manufacture custom magnetics for local OEM's. Today Raycom builds MIL-PRF-27 and MIL-PRF-21038 magnetics for companies all over the country and the world. They have built a reputation for manufacturing a quality product with 100% on time delivery, and excellent customer service. Rockwell Collins recently awarded Raycom with their Lean Manufacturer Initiative Award, as well as, the Magnetics Supplier of the Year Award. Raycom, recognizing that quality is the most important aspect for any company especially those in the military and space markets, is certified to ISO 9001: 2000.
Raycom makes a large array of custom coils, chokes, power, pulse, audio, and control transformers. Not only do they build to MIL-PRF-27, but can also comply with MIL-STD-981 for space applications and MIL-STD-1553. They have soldering technicians, inspectors and a trainer that are certified to NASA-STD-8739.3, which is a requirement to comply with MIL-STD-981. Other soldering technicians are certified to MIL-STD-2000A.
Raycom has a full staff of engineers that can create custom designs that not only meet your requirements, but satisfy your needs. A good design is imperative for a custom transformer company. A quality product is impossible to produce if one does not have a quality design. This is why Raycom is proud to say that they have in excess of 50 years of design experience on their staff.
The MIL-STD-1553 interface transformer is their latest qualification, which enables them to build to MIL-PRF-21038/27 military specifications. These transformers come in all different types of packaging to suit through-the-hole, surface mount, and space limiting configurations. Raycom offers a variety of configurations to support most any type of military or aerospace design application. They have enhanced their design of the MIL-STD-1553 transformer to work with just about anyone's transceiver, not just one or two.
Raycom also has the in-house capabilities to perform Group A and B testing, thermal shock, burn-in, and life testing. They also can perform, but not limited to radiographic testing. They have automated testing equipment and a machine shop that enables them to build prototypes and test fixtures and can perform a variety of tests at ambient and over temperature extremes.
Raycom Electronics is a company that can meet all your needs for MIL-STD-1553 transformers and can up-screen to MIL-STD-981 if necessary. From the initial design to the final test quality is first and foremost on the minds of the engineers, productions workers, soldering technicians, and of course the final inspectors.
If you like working engineer to engineer, you will enjoy working with Raycom.
